Modern slavery statement
Heatable is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all parts of our business and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically, transparently, and with integrity, and we take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps Heatable has taken, and continues to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.
Our business
Heatable is a UK-based provider of energy and home services, including the installation of boilers and heating systems, renewable technologies like solar and battery storage, air-conditioning, and other related services. We work with employees, contractors, and third-party suppliers to deliver these services to customers across the UK.
Our policies
We are committed to acting ethically and lawfully in all our business relationships. Our approach to tackling modern slavery is supported by internal policies and procedures, including:
Ethical standards for employees, contractors, and suppliers
Whistleblowing processes that allow concerns to be raised confidentially
Clear expectations around fair pay, lawful working practices, and safe working conditions
We expect anyone working with or on behalf of Heatable to uphold these standards.
Supply chain and risk assessment
Our supply chains include manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, and installation partners. While we believe the risk of modern slavery within our business is relatively low, we remain vigilant and recognise that risks can exist at various levels of supply chains.
We take steps to mitigate risk by:
Working primarily with reputable UK-based and established suppliers
Conducting due diligence on new suppliers and partners where appropriate
Including contractual obligations requiring compliance with applicable employment and labour laws
Due diligence and compliance
Heatable expects all suppliers, partners, and contractors to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and all relevant employment legislation. We reserve the right to terminate relationships where serious breaches of these expectations are identified.
Training and awareness
We aim to ensure that relevant team members understand the risks of modern slavery and how to identify potential warning signs. Awareness of ethical labour practices forms part of our wider commitment to responsible business operations.
Ongoing commitment
Heatable is committed to continuously improving our practices to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. We will review and update this statement annually and take further steps where necessary to strengthen our approach.
This statement has been approved by the leadership team of Heatable and will be reviewed on a regular basis.
